I'm uploading this picture for a Flower Blossom Picture contest.

The reason I went with this picture instead of other more traditonal and colorful images is that this picture really captures the mood/feelings of spring. Spring is categorized as being a colorful and flower blooming time of the year. Which is a misconception, Spring is a time of the year when it's rainy/cloudy/dark in terms of landscape and mood. This picture captures the true birth of a flower, but also highlights the cloudy/dark period of spring.

: Picture Info ::

Captured at the Japanese Gardens in Portland, Oregon.
